OUR URUGUAYAN FEAST

I've mentioned already how we ate like royalty when we were in Uruguay. Here are some of the delicious treats we feasted on. Thank you, Carlos, for treating us with some of the best food we've ever had.

The Best Asado. Ever. Period.
Fresh homemeade pasta
Pig roast with a whole pig
Homemade vanilla pudding (with vanilla scraped from the pod)
Chivitos
Empanadas
Homemade ravioli (pasta dough died with the ink of squid) stuffed with salmon and cream cheese with a white sauce flavored with thyme, orange, and lemon zest.
Milanesa
Lamb
Pastries. Too many too delicious.
Tuna roll (can’t remember the name of it, but it was made with tuna salad spread over a sweet dough, rolled up, topped with mayo and raw veggies, and sliced.
