I'm not quite done posting about our trip to Uruguay. There's a couple more categories of pictures to share. This one is about the architecture we saw there. It's an interesting mix of European and Latin American, rustic and modern. Even in the same house, we'd see a modern-looking wall full of glass with a thatched roof. The most striking part to me was the hard wood that we saw everywhere. On all types of houses, there were beautiful doors and windows made of it. I just loved it. It gave the houses an artistic flare. The whole time I kept saying to Mark, "look at that beautiful door! look at those windows!" I managed to get a few pictures of them. . .

Dreamy. I agree, there is something about those hardwood doors that sets a house down firmly.
Wow, you must have been in a nicer part of town...we don't see doors like that. Beautiful!
