DONE, FOR NOW

Update; Mali has decided to stop taking violin lessons, and I have decided to honor that. While it's hard to quit, I really believe that she's too young still to make her do it. This is still a good experimenting stage, and it will be good for her to try something else for awhile and decide at some point what she wants to pursue. Next, she wants to try piano. So, that's what we'll do. Here's a picture from her recital, where she played the Twinkle theme and the "pineapple" variation of Twinkle. We were all proud of her, and she said she was proud of herself. That made it worth all the struggle. One thing that's interesting about Mali is that she is very shy, and does not usually want to play or dance for people when we ask her if she wants to. However, in both dance and violin, when she has a performance, she get this air of confidence about her and performs with ease and comfort. She seems to enjoy the big performances. We both realize that she may want to return to the violin, but for now, it's break time.

I remember her grace and confidence at her dance recital a year ago. Beautiful!
