UPDATE

I know that a number of readers are waiting with me for this baby, and that's wonderful to know. Thank you for all your well wishes, thoughts, and candles ready to light! We are still waiting. I'm not at all surprised that it's come to the 6th day over our due date. Mali was 10 days overdue, and she was induced. Greta was 14 days overdue, so she barely made it within the 2 week period. Not that that means this one has to be that late, but it's just not surprising. I am uncomfortable, due to my huge belly. There are days when I'm more patient than others. However, my mom has been here for about a week and a half now, keeping me sane and helping me tremendously. She has patience for the girls that I just couldn't muster right now (like hours and hours of playing Magic School Bus or the constant feeding of mouths) and I am ever-so-grateful for her.

The baby is moving lower, I can feel that much. I've had contractions that get lower and more uncomfortable, so I know that progress is being made. We've all been sick, which makes it easier to wait for labor to begin. It's funny, all the hype and the countdown to the election actually helps me with waiting. It is a constant reminder that the election is coming up soon, and I realize that by then, we'll have a baby!

Thanks for waiting with us, and thanks for being patient with us.

I was lighting a candle here....so I should send you one instead!

I had a very vivid dream I was in labor, which I thought would mean you were too. I felt those contractions with you!

no, no don't feel the need to send candles -- lighting them yourselves would be lovely!
