MORE GRETA QUOTES

Sorry if anyone gets tired of these, but I find this the easiest place to keep track of some of the things the girls say. Greta seems to really like to experiment with words that she hears adults using, so some funny things come out of her mouth!

While I was cooking dinner, she was missing her uncle Paul, and remembering fun times with him. She said, "When I was at Paul and Andrea's wedding, I was nervous." I said, "You mean because you were a flower girl and everyone was looking at you?" She said, " Yeah, I just felt nervous. Do you know what 'nervous' means? It means there are lots of people and you just aren't sure if you want to talk to them."

At the dinner table, Mali was having a hard time (as usual) staying in her seat. I joked that maybe we should make a seat belt for her chair and strap her in. She didn't think so, so Mark said maybe we should tape her down. Greta said, "No! That suggestion would hurt her."

After dinner, she mustered up enough nerve to go downstairs and talk to RJ, our new renter (and a good friend of Mark's from school). She came back to the dining room, announcing her presence as Mark and I were talking, "Um, I'm here." Then she explained, "I used to be scared of talking to RJ, but then I got thoughtful and when I thought about it, I decided to just try. Now, I know how to talk to him!"
