The girls had a good time at family camp at Friedenswald this summer. They got wonderful attention from their cousins, aunts and uncles as well as the constancy of Grandma and Grandpa. They are just starting to get more interested in the activities, which draws them in now as well. Here are a few shots of their favorite activities this year: tye dying and beading.

Greta's proudest story of the week was when she saw a snake in the wild all by herself. She wasn't thrilled about it at the time, as she came running around from behind our cabin screaming, "SNAKE! SNAKE! SNAKE!" However, later she had to tell everyone all about it. She even insisted on making an announcement to the whole camp. I noticed, though, that when she was asked to tell the story enough times, she started saying, "I can't tell that story anymore because it makes my tummy hurt."

Oh, how I'm looking forward to doing these kinds of activities with my kids (assuming they're interested!)
And I can't believe how blonde Greta has gotten!
