In Mali's history lessons, she has been learning about reading maps. Today we thought of many friends and cousins who live in different places. We put a little icon of them on the map. I'm sure there will be more added as we continue with this project, but here's our first take of it. If you can zoom in far enough, you just might find someone you recognize. (Michele -- you're still very much here to us, but I wanted to show the girls where you will be in a few months, so that is why I place O and C where I did :) ). Once we got all these on, we talked about who lives north of us, south of us, do E & A live east or west of S & A? etc.

Meanwhile, the two younger ones are starting to enjoy wrestling with each other, which is actually a helpful form of entertainment for both!

I can't wait to show Sophie her marker on the map when we get home.
I love this and want to do it too!
