WHOA!
I just loaded the blog, and the music was playing extremely slooooooooow. It made Elizabeth Mitchell singing "You are my Sunshine" sound like a creepy monster! Has anyone else experienced this on our blog?

now i remember that you have music....maybe i will have to unmute!
Katie,
I've been reading your blog for awhile now and sometimes after reading the latest post I keep your site open just to hear the music! You had Tis a Gift to be Simple on your playlist (Alison Krauss and Yo Yo Ma) and I used it with the power point I made for my parents' 50th anniversary last summer. Also love that you added Tickle My Toes.
Anyway, I found your blog through prairie daze. You had just posted the Sunshine Bread recipe. I checked the book out from the library and my son and I made the bread. (He's nine now.)
I was in some elementary ed classes with Mark at BC. His humor got me through the elem phy ed class.
Your sister Jen and Kristin were my mothering-mentors. Even though I'm older, Lydia & NeNe were a year when my Evan was born. What a wonderful friendship - they were so supportive and helpful. In fact, your dad helped me work through what to do with immunizations. I teach students with significant disabilities (have a lot of kids with autism) and was not going to give my son anything that I'd regret. So grateful for the guidance your dad gave my husband & me. (My husband, John, was in a mod with Ben.) So, wow, guess we're practically related. :)
We live in Minneapolis, MN now.
I want you to know that I just love your blog - have used the peppernut recipe, sent the I am Six poem to my niece on her 6th birthday and find your children to be so insightful.
So, hope you're not sorry now that you so warmly mentioned that anyone can comment. :)
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, so much, Sher! I love hearing who is out there reading. We certainly have several connections! I appreciate your comment. I hope you and your family are well in Minneapolis.
