MORNING TALK
On Tuesdays, Greta, Quinn, and I all take Mali to school. Sometimes in the early morning car ride, I hear some of the most interesting things come out of Greta's mouth. Take this morning, for instance, when I heard her say this:
Mama, I feel the sickness falling out of my body, but my warmth keeps pulling it back in. I don't want to be sick forever, but my warmth does want me to be sick. It's dangerous. I need some tea. The tea will help take the sickness out of my body. But if my warmth sees one little drop of tea, he will be angry.
also. . .
Mama, I'm worried that if I watch too many Disney movies, the Disney will fall into my heart. Then I will think of scary things.
