PARK

We had a lovely park day as a family today: a picnic lunch, playing on the playground, walking through the woods to see the horses, and soccer. Mali and Greta both insisted that Greta be the soccer "teacher" since she goes to soccer practice. The most direction we got out of her, though, was that we were to play duck-duck-goose only instead say "lion, tiger, liger!" and then chase each other.

It's interesting to watch the girls develop physically. It seems they're at different stages every time we go out. It used to be that Mali could not keep up with Greta, and she would beg Greta to slow down because she was so tired. This time, Greta struggled to keep up with Mali, and she said, "Slow down! I can't run that fast. My tiny little legs just don't get it!"

Mark is eager for his girls to get excited about sports. It required some patience on his part to leave the soccer ball be and sit down to play duck-duck-goose in the middle of it.
