The celebrating of each of my babies has been quite different -- traditional showers for the first, a touching blessingway for the second, and a lovely, relaxed brunch for this one to come. My dear friend Rachel noticed that I was slowly collecting candles for the birth. So, she asked each of these friends to bring a candle and a frozen meal for us. We met at a nice restaurant and exchanged birth/baby/kid stories. Now I have a candle to represent each of their thoughts and prayers during the birth. It was perfect. Thank you, Rachel! And thanks to the all the rest of you, too.
