BUSINESS OF BEING BORN

Have you seen this movie yet? Mark has, and absolutely loved it, but it's still on my long wish list. This gives you a brief indication of the high infant mortality rate in our country, but I also recently read an article about the astonishingly high maternal death rate in the US. Much of it is undocumented, because almost all of the states are lacking a document that requires the family to be asked if the deceased was pregnant or gave birth in the last year. This may all seem depressing, but what is not depressing is the amount of choice we do have regarding birth issues.
