WHAT????

Unbelievable -- snow in Georgia! I've heard that it occasionally happens, but truly never believed it. Until now. Yesterday it started to come down, and I was sure nothing would stick. This morning, there is actually a sweet white (very thin) blanket covering the grass and trees.

This was very refreshing to me. I love the snow, love the cold. Most people here probably see the snow and are convinced they can't leave the house. My reaction was to go out for a run. So I did. Oh, how I love that feeling of cold air filling up my lungs. Greta watched through the window as I ran out into the fluffy flakes. She turned to Mark and said, "There goes Mama! She's running in the snow!" Looking a second time she said, "Have MERCY!"

We sure don't know where she gets a lot of the things she says, but this one made me immediately think of dear little Eliza. Of course, Greta's never spent time with Eliza (we wish she could!), so she didn't get it from her. I just couldn't help but think of Eliza saying "load of mousies."
