TRAVELING QUOTES

This last month, as we have been traveling a lot, we've heard some funny quotes from the girls. These are either from when they are extremely tired, or just relaxing in the back seat.

When we rode the ferry back to Buenos Aires, it got to be very late at night. The girls were trying to stay awake, and Greta had definitely reached the point of frantic hyperactivity. She was running and bouncing all around (she even hopped up from a diaper change in the restroom, pushed the door open herself, and sprinted out, with me trailing behind. . . a diaper dangling from my hand). Anyway, in the middle of this frantic energy, she stopped and looked at Trudy and said, "I get even happier!"

Another time, when she was sprinting (man that girl can run fast!) through the Panama City airport, and Mali was following close behind to keep track of her, she turned to Mali and said, "This is WAY fun!"

On the car ride home yesterday, we stopped for a bathroom break, and Mali said to me, "Mama when I grow up, I'm going to go to church and teach the children. And we are going to sing 'Siyahumba.' Will you remind me when I'm older?" I said I would try to remember, to which she responded, "Well, maybe I should just keep singing it so I remember."

I started singing Syahumba (sp?) after Mali inspired me and Sophie grinned and danced, grinned and danced.
