First of all, this picture shows Mali's excitement over the family birthday dinner, with Uncle Karl, Uncle Paul, Andrea, Andrea's mom and dad, Grandpa Ned and Cammie.

We had a beautiful day for carving our pumpkins. This year, Mali did all the drawing, and I tried to cut just like she drew it -- it was hard!

Then, our fun outing to the city to go to the children's museum. We always have fun riding the train into the city.

Here's a couple action shots in the museum (most of our pictures inside didn't turn out because of lighting!)

We walked back to the train

And relaxed on the train ride home.

What a special and lovely day! I LOVE the picture of Mali and Mark reading on the train !!!!!
Oh, HOW I miss all of you!!!!!
What did you have for birthday supper? Did you give Mali her swan???
Mali's menu for the birthday supper was noodles (and we made turkey meatballs) with "favorite cheese" (parmesan), lettuce, garlic bread, apple cider, and pumpkin and apple pie.
The swan has been a big hit among both girls. We've already had to negotiate time spent with it. . .
Ooh what a beautiful day! A train to the city!! And the picture of Mali and Mark reading is priceless!
Happy Birthday, Mali!
Sounds like a wonderful day!
What a lovely day for all of you. I have a special place in my heart for children's museums...I used to work at one and they truly are a hidden treasure!!
Since a couple of you mentioned the pic of Mali reading with her Daddy, I have to tell you, she did that when she was just about 18 months! Seriously, she would pick up the newspaper and hold it in front of her face and pretend to read it alongside Mark!
