SUN BREAD

If you don't already know this book by Elisa Kleven, it's worth having. It's a beautiful book, and we've made the Sun Bread several times. For those of you familiar with the Mennonite traditional bread, Zwiebach, it tastes a lot like that. Yummy. Usually, we make the shape of the sun, as shown on the recipe. Today Mali wanted to make something else, so we ended up with Lion Bread and Octopus Bread. Still yummy!

Here's a picture of Mali kneading the dough.

I'll also show you the pretty picture with the recipe, as well as the stages of the baked bread. . .

And best of all, in the middle of the process, DADDY came home!! Yay!

AM - try clicking on the picture of the book, and see if you can read the recipe off there. If not, I can send it to you. Just let me know.
