We took a whirlwind trip over Thanksgiving week, and our first stop took us to the new (well, actually quite old) home of our good friends. It was good to see them in their new home, and to dream of all the visits to come here. It was cozy, cozy, cozy.
Cozy porch play with familiar friends. . .

Cozy walk in the November rain. . .

Oh-so-cozy warmth from the fire. . .

And cozy bedtime yoga with Rachel. . .

For years, we dreamed about having a family sleepover, so that we adults could put the kids to bed and visit into the night. This would be a luxury for us, since usually we have to rush off with over-tired, over-stimulated kids melting down before bed. It was what we had hoped: relaxed adult time at last!! We gave each other promises of more of this very thing in the coming years.

every since facebook, i've had the urge to make that very comment on several blog posts!
Thanks for this Katie. When did you take the "porch series"? It is sooo precious! I feel like my boys smiles are extra bright when our families are together. We love you guys.
Rachel, I think it was before our walk (?). Those smiles do look bright!
