ONE YEAR OLD

I cannot say enough how quickly it goes. Here we are, a year after this little one's birth already!! Quinn was born a year ago yesterday. It was my ideal birth: at home, in the water, with our midwife and family surrounding us. This year, we have been learning who he is, and we continue to learn on a daily basis. Of course, he is himself, but parts of him remind us of Mali or Greta. He has a hard, concentrated stare, like he is taking in the world with great intensity. Mali had the same look as a baby. He is loud and loves to be wild, which reminds us of Greta. He loves to cuddle and wrestle, and he knows which sister to go to for each of those requests.

For the record, some of his developmental milestones include sitting at 5 months, crawling at 7, walking at 8, and now he thinks he is running when he throws his arms straight back and tilts his head forward! He can sign for nurse, up, down, all done, shoes, hi, bye bye, thank you, and more. He has a few words: up, rock-rock, hat, ball, Holly, Mama, bye. The songs I sing the most to him are: Down in the Valley and Morningtown ride.

He loves his sisters, his parents, people who talk to him, being outside, tickling, water, grandparents
He really doesn't like getting dressed or his car seat
