HAPPY EARTH DAY
(tomorrow)

We celebrated Earth Day last weekend at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, a favorite spot of ours. It was a great event. The girls were thrilled with taking the school bus shuttle over to the entrance.

We didn't even make it through all the kids' activities, but some we did enjoy were making our own ecosystem in a bottle

making panda faces out of recycled material

and fish prints

It was a beautiful day, and it continued at home, as the girls enjoyed digging around in the dirt, catching and falling in love with caterpillars. These two have been named Peacock and Jon. So far, they have survived the love and attention they have received from the girls.

I didn't intend it this way, but somehow I like how the last picture focused on the dirt on Greta's fingers, rather than the caterpillar!
