A TREAT FROM URUGUAY

We are enjoying getting to know Trudy's friend, Carlos a bit this visit. We have heard Trudy talk about how much he loves to cook, and how good he is at it. It was fun today to watch and hear him go at it in the kitchen. He does have great enthusiasm, and the result is delicious! He had heard that Mali loves noodles with butter and parmesan cheese. So, he decided to make fresh pasta for her and brought home on the finest of parmesan in the store. Then at the store, they couldn't resist the shrimp or the cornish hens!! So, we ended up with a feast. The cornish hens were stuffed with granny smith apple slices and thyme and basted with olive oil, butter, thyme, and garlic. Carlos was rewarded by the look on Mali's face when she watched him unroll the first noodle.

If this guy had a cooking show, I'd be hooked!
