Mali has been taking violin for about a year, and she has just started playing. She worked on positioning for almost this whole year! So, here is a picture of her first violin recital. Sadly, it might also be her last violin recital. She really doesn't want to continue, and I'm struggling with respecting that and also knowing the importance of sticking it out. It's been a HUGE struggle for both of us. She agreed to continue until she gets through Twinkle, so she can know what it's like to play a whole song. What she really wants is to play the harp, but that's not realistic for now. We're taking a break until after the holidays, and at that time we'll re-visit it.
Greta needed some entertainment, so she took pictures of herself while the kids played violin.

How sweet! I should tell you however, that it took Lydia and Andy over a year to learn Twinkle.
I'm right there with you on the Twinkle...only on piano instead of violin.
