Our newest little joy is 3 weeks old. It's an amazing feeling to spend a whole 10 months wondering what this new little person is like inside and then to be suddenly flooded with love for him. What we know about him so far:
He has a brightness in his eyes that reminds me of Mark
He makes gestures with his hands that are just like Mali as a baby and Mark now
He gazes intently into my eyes for long periods of time
He follows shadows with his eyes as if they are the most interesting thing in the world
He looks like Mali as a baby, so much sometimes that it takes my breath away
He is loved completely by the whole family

So wide eyed!! I am astounded by him and can't wait to meet him in person!
I can't believe he is THREE WEEKS! He really does look like Mali! The EYES!!! I can not WAIT to hold him!
I really don't mean to state the obvious, but he looks like such a BABY now (as in, not so newborn-y)! His eyes are so wide!
I can't stop looking at him!
So alert and sweet. He looks so peaceful.
