We attended the Kindergarten "Round Up" and Mali had a great time. Today she will go to the Kindergarten screening. I'm not even sure what else comes before the school year starts. We felt great about the school -- it felt warm and friendly, and everyone is raving about it. I had to post this picture of Mali and Mark, because everyone always says Mali looks just like me. I don't mind those comments, and in fact take them as compliments. But look at how much she looks like Mark here!
Does this look like a kid ready for Kindergarten or what? I just think she looks like she's ready to take on the world in this picture. She's so excited! While I realize this excitement may not last when reality hits, and while a part of me wants to prepare her for the tough parts, I also want to revel in her optimism.
