We had a wonderful weekend in Asheville, NC. The days were spent seeing the city, which is absolutely beautiful and friendly and artsy. We also got to visit relatives that we don't get to see very often. I hadn't met any of my cousin's kids, so it was especially fun to spend time with them as a family.
Our stay at the Hawk and Ivy bed and breakfast with my parents was breathtakingly beautiful. We fell asleep to the spring peepers and woke to the birds. We kept windows open to the cool mountain air, and bundled into our cozy beds. The hosts were wonderful, and the gardens were exquisite! The land was almost overwhelmingly gorgeous.
What a treat for us to have this family time together, and with relatives. Early mornings were welcomed by Grandpa and Grandma, who read books in bed and took early morning walks. Mali said her favorite part was taking a long walk with Grandma and finding a fairy pond. Greta's favorite part was walking and throwing rocks in the cool mountain stream at the Botanical Gardens.
Ahhh. . .

This is incredibly strange, but I was JUST thinking about how we never see K and R in NC and remembering the family camp days trying to keep up with my older cousins.
It sure looks like you had a wonderful weekend!
Oh my goodness, I love the pictures. So good to see everyone's faces! I hope there was a reunion conversation over the weekend!
