It definitely feels like the height of spring here -- 60s to 70s during the day. . . flowers popping out on trees. . . that new green all around. And the pollen, oh -- the pollen. I seemed to have developed allergies when we moved here. I learned recently that normal levels of pollen are in the 100s range, but in Georgia, they're in the 1000s. No wonder I've had all these desperate itchy nose and sneezing fits!!
Anyway, we enjoyed a day at the zoo today, with some friends (the family of a dear college friend of mine). Here's Mali and Greta with the flamingos.

And Mali with our friend Silas climbing on the gorilla statue. One of the most entertaining spots is the gorilla exhibit, when you can watch all 4 gorilla toddlers climbing all over their mamas. Mali still says her favorites are the monkeys. We saw orangutans, gorillas, drills, lemurs, and tamarins.

And finally, a sunny trio, enjoying each other and all of us enjoying the day. Ahhhh.

Other highlights of the zoo were our first viewings of the baby panda, Mei Lan, and the 1 year old giraffe!
